What is Diverticulitis?
Diverticular disease is when pouches develop along the digestive tract, generally in your large intestine. The pouches become inflamed and infected and can lead to complications if not treated quickly. If blockages persist, intestinal perforations, pus and other complications can lead to more serious internal damage.
